Product Description

Epoxy Micaceous Iron Oxide Intermediate Paint

This paint is a two-component system. Component A is processed and formulated from epoxy resin, flake micaceous iron oxide, anti-rust pigments, additives, and mixed solvents. Component B is the curing agent.
   Characteristics and Uses
This paint can be cured at room temperature or baked at high temperatures. After curing, the paint film has high hardness, strong adhesion, water resistance, impermeability, chemical corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and good impact resistance. It is mainly used for the surface of various steel structures such as bridges, ships, dock facilities, vehicles, mines, and containers, to enhance their sealing and anti-corrosion properties.

   Application Reference
  1. Mix immediately before use. Can be applied by brushing or spraying. The substrate surface should be dust-free, oil-free, and clean.
  2. Before coating, Component A should be stirred evenly. Then, mix according to the paint ratio of Component A:Component B = 100:13 (by weight). After thorough mixing, let it mature for 20 minutes before application. The prepared paint must be used within 4-8 hours. Spraying is recommended at temperatures above 10℃.
  3. If the prepared paint has a high viscosity and is difficult to apply, it can be diluted with a thinner specifically for this paint. The amount of thinner generally should not exceed 10% of the total volume.
  4. Recoating interval: 12-24 hours; temperature: 20-25℃.
  5. Theoretical coverage is approximately 180g/m².
  6. Each coat's film thickness: 35-50 micrometers (dry film).
   Storage and Transportation
Valid storage period is one year. Transportation should comply with relevant regulations of the Ministry of Transport.
