Product Description
Epoxy Zinc-Rich Primer
This paint is a two-component system. Component A is processed and formulated from epoxy resin, ultra-fine zinc powder, pigments, various additives, and mixed solvents. Component B is polyamide resin used as a curing agent.
Features and Uses
The paint film has high hardness, strong adhesion, impact resistance, oil resistance, strong corrosion resistance, heat resistance, wear resistance, and good welding performance. Therefore, it can be widely used for various steel structures, storage tanks, bridges, etc. After shot blasting surface treatment reaches the required grade, this primer is applied as a base coat for priming purposes.
Technical Specifications
This anti-corrosion coating should meet the following technical specifications
| Item | Indicator | |
| Paint film color and appearance | Gray, matte, smooth film | |
| Drying time, h Surface dry 25℃ | ≤ | 1 |
| Hard dry 25℃ | ≤ | 24 |
| Adhesion (grade) | ≤ | 2 |
| Salt water resistance (3% NaCl) 24h | No significant change | |
Application Reference
1. It should be prepared and used immediately before application. This paint can be sprayed or brushed.
2. Before applying this paint, the substrate must be surface treated. Shot blasting is recommended, with a rust removal grade of Sa2.5 standard. The treated steel surface should be free of rust, mill scale, oil stains, and impurities. The treated surface should be coated with this paint within 8 hours.
3. Before application, component A and component B should be stirred thoroughly separately. Then, mix according to the paint ratio: component A:component B = 100:9 (by weight). After uniform mixing, allow it to mature for 20 minutes before application. The prepared paint should be used within 4-6 hours.
4. If the prepared paint has high viscosity and is difficult to apply, it can be diluted with a dedicated thinner for this paint. The amount of thinner generally should not exceed 20% of the total volume.
5. The application temperature for this anti-corrosion paint should be above 10℃; it will be difficult to cure below this temperature.
6. Theoretical consumption is approximately 400g/m².
7. Film thickness 25-35 micrometers (dry film).
8. Recoating interval 12-24 hours; temperature 20-25℃.
V. Storage and Transportation
The effective storage period is six months. Transportation should comply with relevant regulations of the Ministry of Transport.
