Product Description
High Flash Point Safety Alkyd Paint
High Flash Point Safety Alkyd Protective Coating is a high flash point safety alkyd protective coating developed by Jinfeima Paint to meet national requirements for hazardous chemical management. Its flash point is >60℃ (closed cup), which complies with the requirements for non-hazardous chemical identification in the "Regulations on the Safe Management of Hazardous Chemicals". It has been identified as a non-hazardous chemical by authoritative institutions, solving the long-standing storage and transportation issues of alkyd coatings. It can be stored and transported as a general chemical. Furthermore, this product is also a high-solids, environmentally friendly coating, meeting the control requirements for VOC emissions from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and local governments, with a VOC content of less than 420g/L, complying with national coating VOC emission standards.
Refined from selected natural linseed oil and natural soybean oil resins, it uses high flash point additives and solvents, and is meticulously crafted using internationally advanced "clean production" processes. The company possesses a full set of high-end testing equipment synchronized with the National Coatings Testing Center, allowing for self-testing of flash points. The product boasts excellent quality and offers advantages such as high flash point, high solids content, low VOC content, high hardness, fast drying, good brushability, vibrant color, rich film, good flexibility, strong adhesion, good outdoor weather resistance, and no long-term storage precipitation. It addresses the drawbacks of traditional alkyd coatings, such as toxicity to the human body, strong odor, poor environmental performance, and pollution to the surrounding environment徑

Composition
High Flash Point Safety Alkyd Paint is prepared by grinding and formulating high flash point alkyd resin, pigments, high flash point solvents, and fillers徑
Features
The product's closed cup flash point is >60C°, which complies with the requirements for non-hazardous chemical identification in the "Regulations on the Safe Management of Hazardous Chemicals". It is classified as a non-hazardous chemical and can be transported and stored as ordinary goods. It is safer and more convenient. Compared to ordinary alkyd paints, it has higher brightness, shorter touch-dry time, and higher color vibrancy徑

Uses
Widely used for protection and decoration of steel surfaces such as indoor and outdoor general railings, steel structures, mechanical equipment, and wooden components. Theoretical coverage: 7~8m/kg (based on a dry film thickness of 25-35 microns, excluding loss).
Application Recommendations
This product can be spray-applied, brushed, or roller-applied. It is recommended to apply multiple thin coats, with a single coat dry film thickness of 25-35 microns, and a recoating interval of more than 24 hours. Do not apply a single thick coat, as it will affect drying hardness徑
Compatible Coatings
Previous coating: Alkyd primer or intermediate paint. If using a primer not from our company, please conduct experiments first to avoid affecting product performance due to incompatibility. Our company is not responsible for problems caused by non-compatible products徑
Safety Technical Instructions
1. This product is a non-hazardous chemical and can be stored or transported as a general chemical徑
2. Waste paint residue and empty paint drums should be collected and placed according to regulations; do not dispose of them randomly徑
3. The product should be stored indoors, avoiding direct sunlight, away from open flames, heat sources, strong acids, alkalis, and oxidizing agents, and out of reach of children徑
4. In case of accidental ingestion, immediately induce vomiting with warm water and seek medical treatment徑
5. The construction site should have good ventilation, and open flames are strictly prohibited on the construction site徑
Application Precautions
1. Skinning and sedimentation after opening徑
Skinning: If skinning occurs after opening the can, please remove it with a filter screen before normal application. Most skinning is caused by vibrations during long-distance transportation, allowing air ingress, leading to an oxidation reaction between the paint film and air, forming a protective layer on the surface. During application, please have the applicator use a sieve to remove the skinning, and filter it with a filter screen before proceeding with normal application. This will not affect any product quality indicators!
Sedimentation: If there is sedimentation, please use a stirring rod to mix inside the drum to determine if it is soft or hard sediment. If it can be easily stirred evenly, this is normal and within the standard range. If the sediment is very hard and difficult to stir, it is beyond the normal range, and it is recommended to stop application and return it directly to the manufacturer徑
2. Dilution: When adjusting viscosity with a thinner during application based on site conditions, please use our company's compatible exempted solvent or high flash point industrial coating general thinner. After adding, please stir vigorously for 3-5 minutes until fully dissolved. Do not use inferior thinners circulated in the market, as this product is an environmentally friendly product, and adding other thinners will not only reduce product quality but also affect its environmental performance徑
3. Construction tools: This paint can be air sprayed, brushed, or roller coated. Roller coating is prone to bubbles; using a short-pile roller can reduce bubble formation. Construction is not advisable when relative humidity is above 85%, and strictly prohibited in rainy, snowy, or foggy weather. After application, before the film dries, ensure protective measures are in place to prevent contact with rain and impact. Each spray coat should be 20-25um thick. The second coat can only be applied after the first coat is completely dry. It can be air-dried or low-temperature baked (maximum temperature not exceeding 60°C).
4. Substrate treatment: Before construction, oil stains, impurities, dust, and rust should be removed from the substrate. The surface to be coated should be cleaned, ensuring it is flat, free of oil, dust, wax, etc. If there is an old coating film on the substrate, it must be uniformly sanded with fine sandpaper before application. Please conduct a test before construction to avoid reactions with old coating films that could affect product performance.
