Dalian Machine Tool Group was one of the eighteen leading machine tool enterprises in the early days of the People's Republic of China. From the late 1990s to the end of the 'Eleventh Five-Year Plan' period, Dalian Machine Tool Group has forged a path of integrated innovation with its own characteristics. The company's scale, technological level, and manufacturing capabilities have made rapid progress, achieving leapfrog economic growth. It has become the largest research and manufacturing base for combined machine tools, flexible manufacturing systems, and automated complete sets of technology and equipment in China, and a leading enterprise in China's machine tool industry. From 2000 to 2006, its sales revenue ranked first in the national machine tool industry for seven consecutive years, and it won the top ten awards for sales revenue, numerical control output value, export earnings, and brand creation in the Chinese machine tool industry for seven consecutive years. It was among the top 500 Chinese enterprises for three consecutive years. In 2004, the DMTG brand CNC machine tools produced by Dalian Machine Tool Group won the title of "China Famous Brand Product." In 2006, it ranked 8th in the world machine tool industry rankings. Today, Dalian Machine Tool Group has more than 40 wholly-owned, joint venture, holding, and equity-invested subsidiaries, including 8 joint ventures with Germany, Japan, South Korea, the United States, and Switzerland. It has acquired two subsidiaries (wholly-owned) of Ingersoll Rand in the United States and a controlling stake in a German company. It has developed from a single machine tool industry into a large-scale industrial group with a modern factory covering two square kilometers, "one center," "two bases," and "one park," multiple industries, and global development. Main products include: special-purpose machines and flexible manufacturing systems, vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC lathes and turning and milling centers, high-speed precision lathes and machine tool accessories, automotive powertrain and transmission components, totaling more than 500 varieties. Over the past 50 years, Dalian Machine Tool Group has provided more than 400,000 machine tools of various types for the automotive, military, aerospace, agricultural machinery, mining and metallurgy, and geological exploration industries. Its products are distributed throughout all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China and exported to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide.
