China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. is a central enterprise established on April 20, 2000, in accordance with the overall deployment of the national telecommunications system reform. In December 2017, China Mobile Communications Group Company underwent a corporate restructuring, changing its enterprise type from a wholly state-owned enterprise to a wholly state-owned company, and was renamed China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. China Mobile is a mobile communication operator based on GSM, TDD-LTE, and FDD-LTE networks.
China Mobile wholly owns China Mobile (Hong Kong) Group Co., Ltd., whose holding company, China Mobile Limited, has wholly-owned subsidiaries in 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and Hong Kong, and is listed in Hong Kong and New York. Its main businesses include mobile voice, data, broadband, IP telephony, and multimedia services, and it has the operating rights for international interconnection of computer internet and international gateways. It has a registered capital of RMB 300 billion, total assets of nearly RMB 1.7 trillion, and a total workforce of nearly 500,000 people.
China Mobile has successively launched brands such as "Dynamic Zone," "Shenzhou Xing," "Globalcom," "Power 100," and "G3." In December 2013, it announced the 4G brand "And! He," marking the official launch of China Mobile's 4G business, with the development slogan: Mobile 4G, international mainstream, one step ahead. On June 25, 2019, China Mobile released its 5G brand logo.
